I didn’t know what to say.
Everything felt… unstable.
“And the necklace?” I asked.
“That was the only clue,” she said. “It wasn’t ordinary. We knew that. So I kept looking. For years.”
“For me?”
“For where you came from.”
I swallowed hard.
“And now?”
She looked at me.
“I found them.”
My heart skipped.

“They’re your parents.”
